Support to troubleshoot issue
We have a strange problem with our XTAPI based .NET application on Windows 10. Our application works fine on all platforms but on Windows 10 it sometimes crashes deeply inside the XTAPIInstrument.Subscribe method call. We have a dump file for one of this crashes, and if you think it can help, we can share it with you. This is top of problem stack:
ntdll.dll!_NtWaitForSingleObject@12‑() KERNELBASE.dll!_WaitForSingleObjectEx@12‑() ntdll.dll!ExecuteHandler2@20‑() ntdll.dll!ExecuteHandler@20‑() ntdll.dll!_KiUserExceptionDispatcher@8‑() KERNELBASE.dll!_RaiseException@16‑() msvcr100.dll!_CxxThrowException(void* pExceptionObject, const _s__ThrowInfo * pThrowInfo)
TTCPPClient_7.9.dll!0ac33649() ClientHub_7.9.dll!58b0cff8() ContractHandler_7.9.dll!58cc51ad() ContractHandler_7.9.dll!58cc2e09() ContractHandler_7.9.dll!58cc2d9e() xtapi_7.dll!094ed6a3() xtapi_7.dll!094ee6af() xtapi_7.dll!094f0510() xtapi_7.dll!094ea913() xtapi_7.dll!094eaf20() XTAPIPlatform.dll!XTAPIPlatform.XTAPIInstrument.Subscribe()
We checked our code many times but it works fine on other OS versions for years and problem can be reproduced only on Windows 10 boxes.
As part of our troubleshooting, we opened the ADT tool, and then closed it. Upon closing ADT, we experience a similar crash on tool exit. Note our application wasn't even running at the time. (Only top of stack shown here):
KERNELBASE.dll!_RaiseException@16‑() msvcr100.dll!_CxxThrowException(void* pExceptionObject, const _s__ThrowInfo * pThrowInfo) TTCPPClient_7.9.dll!60443649() ClientHub_7.9.dll!58e0cff8() ContractHandler_7.9.dll!58fc51ad() ContractHandler_7.9.dll!58fc2e09() ContractHandler_7.9.dll!58fc2d9e() xtapi_7.dll!04d1d6a3() xtapi_7.dll!04d1ed76() xtapi_7.dll!04d32b20() xtapi_7.dll!04d0cd7f() xtapi_7.dll!04d0de09() ntdll.dll!77608e56() ADT.exe!0040784c()
We can also share the dump file for this ADT crash if you like. However, we expect you may also be able to reproduce this problem easily on a Windows 10 machine by simply opening and closing the ADT tool.
Could you please help us investigate root cause of this problem or provide us some workaround for preventing such strange behavior on Windows 10. We used X_TRADER PRO version 18.104.22.168 for our investigation.
Thank you very much.
