I recently upgraded from Xtrader to TT, and at the moment am running them side by side. TT market data will occasionally visibly lag Xtrader, which is obviously not good.
Are there any steps I could take to optimize my workstation for TT? Along the lines of prioritizing certain types of network traffic?
All I can find are a list of system requirements, here. But the Xtrader documentation has a much more thorough list of optimizations here (for Windows 10) and here (general best practices). Are any of these applicable for TT, or would they in fact be counterproductive because of the new architecture?

Would be good to know if this is only to the screen/gui and not to any ADL/Autotrader related widgets on the execution servers.
Would be good to have anyone else using new TT with Excel to chime in.

@airmondii...was this in the browser version or in TT Desktop?
thank you.
I've had performance issues with both, and I think TT Desktop performs worse for me, which is counterintuitive. There is a ticket open to look into my specific situation.
But I'm just looking for general guidelines. Does your answer depend on if it is TT Desktop vs browser? If so, why would that be?
I would expect the Desktop version to out perform the browser version considerably. I'm hoping ADL also moves to TT Desktop version.
Could you elaborate on the technical differences between browser vs desktop? And is it conceivable that Desktop "performs" better in a processing sense, but is deprioritized or bottlenecked some place else?
Also, the gap in performance (TT Desktop being worse) becomes more apparent when there is a lot of strain on the excel addin and RTD links. Is there any reason why TT Desktop would do better under ordinary circumstances but browser would do better for high throughput?

I've also seen TT excel rtd price data averaging around .5 seconds slower than x_trader excel rtd price data. I've never seen TT rtd data faster than x_traders.
